Worship Ministry Support Team

The Worship Ministry Support Team is led and coordinated by the Minister for Worship and Music. These roles assist with and advise in various aspects of the Worship & Music Ministry and are an avenue for people to use their gifts beyond music for the LORD.

A prerequisite for all of these positions is an abiding relationship with Christ, knowing both the depths of their sin and the richness of God’s love for them in the Gospel. This relationship will be the source of how they love God and love other people.

Administrative Assistant – SEARCH IN PROCESS

Qualifications:

  • Heart for the worship and music ministry of the church
  • Personal people skills
  • Ability to communicate, organize data, brainstorm outside-of-the-box, and knowledge of the congregation
  • Ability to anticipate future needs and begin to strategize ways to find a resolution
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and web-based programs
  • Familiarity with music basics (training will be provided as needed)
  • Prefer to be a member/regular attender of CLPC


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication with those involved in weekly worship and other needs
  • Work with music librarians to prepare music for weekly worship and special events/projects as needed
  • Maintain the record keeping of weekly worship selections in Excel
  • Help to maintain Planning Center Online, keeping current the people and music database
  • Help with the purchasing of all ministry needs
  • Help to maintain the W&M ministry budget
  • Assist in hiring and communicating with musicians for special services and events
  • Create weekly Choir Notes for choir rehearsal
  • Assist with administrative needs for special events and mission projects
  • Help to brainstorm through various needs/areas of the ministry

Audio/Visual Team Coordinator – SEARCH IN PROGRESS

Need:
This position reports to and supports the Associate Pastor (Music Ministries) (AP-MM). This
position will provide consistent quality and knowledge within the A/V area. The person will
provide A/V input to the AP-MM in producing each service/event to enable the congregation to
engage both the spoken word and music. This person will develop, train, and schedule the
volunteer A/V team and maintain all A/V equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Credible confession of faith
  • Positive people skills*
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to anticipate future needs and begin to strategize ways to find a resolution
  • High proficiency in the usage of a Yamaha CL mixer
  • Working knowledge of Dante, Nuendo Live, ProPresenter, and basic audio networking
  • Capable of occasional heavy lifting (50lbs)
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Basic understanding of rigging and safety fundamentals
  • High aural skills
  • Prefer to be/become a member/regular attender of CLPC

 

Responsible for:

  • All A/V equipment – includes operation, maintenance, & upgrades in both the sanctuary and fellowship hall
  • All A/V needs for all Sunday morning worship services, monthly evening worship services, and any extra services (i.e. Christmas Eve, Christmas Festivals, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, or Messiah Sing-Along)
  • Purchasing needed supplies and equipment (with AP-MM approval)
  • Oversee the scheduling of all A/V volunteers for all services and special events
  • Leading and training A/V volunteers

 

Hours:

Paid weekly for 7-10 hours per week (allowing 6 Sundays off per year)
Thursday evening rehearsal: 7-8:30pm (6-9)
Sunday morning rehearsal and service: 8am-1pm
Sunday evening service once a month: 4-7pm
Extra compensation added for special events (weddings/funerals)
